Do you have a low income and you are suddenly faced with special expenses? Perhaps because your washing machine has broken down or because you suddenly have high medical expenses? Then ask the council’s Sociale Zaken department if you are eligible for special contributions. When applying, you need to be able to prove you have a low income. You will also need to provide information with regard to what you need the special contribution for. Bring bank statements, payslips, bills and other important paperwork with you to appointments.
Do you have high (medical) expenses as a result of being old, disabled or a chronic illness? Then you may be eligible for special contributions or you may be entitled to other contributions or aids. Ask for more information at Ouder-Amstel Council’s WMO-loket or Sociale Zaken.
