A care allowance is a contribution towards care and health costs for you and your family. The level of care allowance depends on your income.
The Belastingdienst’s Allowances Department will arrange your care allowance. You can check whether you qualify for care allowance on the website. The application form can also be found on the website. Complete the form and send it off. You will receive a disposition from the Belastingdienst within six weeks. This will tell you whether you qualify for care allowance and how much. The Belastingdienst will then deposit the relevant amount into your bank account.
You only need to apply for a care allowance once, you will subsequently automatically receive an application form every year.
