School and study grants

Do your children attend secondary school?  If you are on a low income, you may be eligible for a contribution from the DUO/IB-Groep.  The application form will usually be sent through to you automatically.  Did you not receive the form?  Then request a copy from the school or the DUO/IB-Groep.  This contribution only applies to children up to the age of 18.  Children over the age of 18 and attending secondary education will need to apply for the contribution themselves.

Are your children 18 years old or above and following a course?  Then they are probably entitled to study finance.  This applies to both secondary education as well as vocational courses.

Children studying part-time can also apply for study finance.  Call the DUO/IB-Groep for questions about study costs and study finance or take a look at their website.  Would you like to apply for study finance?  Then take a look at the DUO/IB-groep’s website and download an application form.  Or call them and ask them to send you an application form.

Do you have a child with a disability?  Studying is often difficult for disabled people or those who are chronically ill.  They can therefore apply for a study finance extension.  Would you like to know more?  Then take a look at the Handicap en studie website.  The school’s student counsellor will also be able to tell you more.
